Submitted by tlmiller on Tue, 2009-09-01 15:15.
I’m please to announce the immediate release and general availability of Metronome 2.6.0, the first in a new series of stable releases. This release includes all of the features from the 2.5.x development series, and all the bugfixes from the 2.4.x stable series. Highlights include:
- the ability to regenerate a run entirely from the database (allowing you to completely remove old run directories)
- support for multiple platform namespaces
- web interface speed improvements
- improved error-checking of submit files
- the ability to block one run on another
- CRON-style scheduling for regularly repeated runs
- a web-based view of the Metronome queue
- submit node performance improvements
- streaming user-level I/O (check your run’s progress before it completes; especially handy for runs which can hang)
- support for the Modules prereq system
- tool support for version sweeping
Please review the release notes for the 2.5.x series for more details.
